This winter, the fabled Loon Mountain will be offering its usual world-class skiing and snowboarding, but for pandemic safety reasons the Loon Mountain base lodge is closed. The good news is that The Mountain Club offers perfect ski-in, ski-out lodging for Loon Mountain, so you can use our hotel as your ultra-convenient base lodge while hitting up those awesome slopes.
Loon Mountain: First-Rate New Hampshire Skiing
Downhill devotees have been beelining for Loon Mountain since the 1960s, and as one of the foremost ski resorts in the Northeast it continues to expand and improve its snowsports offerings.
Encompassing three White Mountain peaks, Loon Mountain offers 370 skiable acres and an exhilarating 2,109 feet of vertical, topping out at 3,050 feet on North Peak. Its 61 trails—accounting for some 28 miles and served by 11 lifts, two of them Wonder Carpets—have something for everybody, from newbies to stone-cold powder masters. The Loon Mountain spread includes six terrain parks—two specially designed for pintsized visitors—and New Hampshire’s one and only Sugarpipe.
The resort also offers snow tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more: a one-stop shop for winter adventure in the White Mountains.
