Best Ski Hotel on Loon Mountain
If you’re of the skiing or snowboarding persuasion, this is very likely your favorite time of year. We’d love to host you here at The Mountain Club on Loon, where you’ll enjoy luxury slopeside accommodations on the most popular ski resort in New Hampshire.
With 370 skiable acres spread across three peaks, Loon Mountain makes one of the preeminent snow sports destinations in the White Mountains, and at our resort it’s right at your (gloved) fingertips: You can ski out your door to the mountain’s largest lift.
Loon Mountain: A Snapshot
Loon Mountain offers 2,100 feet of vertical, 61 trails, 11 lifts (including a four-person gondola), and six terrain parks on the flanks of North, Loon, and South peaks. Its runs are nicely split between beginner, intermediate, and expert levels.
On a typical winter, the ski area receives a generous helping of about 160 inches of snow; it also boasts snowmaking capabilities.
Winter Fun on the Mountain: Skiing, Snowboarding, and Beyond
Downhill skiing and snowboarding obviously take center stage at Loon Mountain, but they don’t exhaust the snow sports possibilities here—not by a long shot.
You can also take to the extensive cross-country trails, which follow abandoned logging tracks from the banks of the Pemigewasset River to the heights of Black Mountain. Or strap on a pair of snowshoes and commune with the gorgeous, drifted forest. Loon Mountain offers guided cross-country skiing and snowshoeing tours as well, plus cross-country lessons (alongside its popular private and group downhill and snowboard lessons).
