Squam Brewery (118 Perch Pond Rd, Holderness, NH)
Voted the best beer in the Lake’s Region since 2010, Squam Brewery is a tiny operation that delivers on their promise of great flavor in small batches. Brewed out of a barn in Holderness, NH, Squam Brewery has been a favorite of locals and beer purveyors alike. They also sell 22-ounce bottles to supermarkets and liquor stores across the state.
Schilling Beer Co. (18 Mill St., Littleton, NH)
Schilling’s brewing focus is on “progressive, continental European-inspired beers,” which the outfit whips up in a 1797-built grist mill along the Ammonoosuc River. The beers—which include a sumptuous lineup of Belgian-style ales such as the Erastus Tripel and the Trapu Belgian Dark Ale, plus German and Czech lagers and even some Russian- and Scandinavian-inspired offerings—are beautifully paired with the taproom’s rustic wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and other simple (and delicious) fare.
Seven Birches Winery (22 S Mountain Dr, Lincoln, NH)
Just a stone’s throw from The Mountain Club on Loon, Seven Birches Winery, established in 2010, makes exceptional wines from European varietals and plenty of Granite State spirit. Enjoy a tour of the winery and a visit to the year-round tasting room: a wonderfully convenient outing from our resort!
