We’re Getting Local with our New Summer Menu!

Categories: General | Tags: New England, Summer In White Mountains

Buzz from the Kitchen at the Mountain Club on Loon:

This summer we made a conscious effort to change our menus to highlight the hard work of our local producers. At the Mountain Club on Loon, we support food made with local products, especially our proteins. Specializing in traditional New England dishes we procure only the finest local and regional ingredients for an unforgettable palate you won’t want to miss.

Farms, Bakers, and Cheesemakers

We specialize in showing off our local farmers, bakers, and cheesemakers. We even make sure to use local sugar and eggs, like sugar from the Fuller’s Sugarhouse located in Lancaster, New Hampshire and Lucy Colby eggs from our nearby Lancaster Floral Design & Garden Center. Lucy Colby eggs are the backbone of our famous Deviled Eggs, a classic appetizer made using house-made pickles and local eggs – a hit the whole table might be asking for more. If you’re a fan of steaks, here at the Mountain Club on Loon we serve local meats from Robie Farms and Spring Hill Angus. Even our Cheese is local! We supply only the best cabot and artisan cheeses from local cheesemakers.

Going local not only helps out the communities in our area but it also allows for us to display all the wonderful items being made right here in New Hampshire. Make sure to stop by the Black Diamond Pub and see our new menus.

Local Brews

You can’t forget a nice cold brew on a warm summer day in New Hampshire. We like to feature many different local breweries and distilleries. With everything from Barr Hill and Switchback Brewery to Woodstock Station Brewery and Mad River Roasters, there is something for every taste bud at the Black Diamond Pub. Along with local craft beers, we also sell small batch bourbons and single malt scotches. Did you also know that our Pub is the official pub of the New Hampshire Highland Games?

Thanks to our amazing award-winning culinary team for the updated summer menus which feature food and drink from our best local producers, breweries, and distilleries. We hope you enjoy the change just as much as we do!
