The Scottish are coming...

Every Fall, the New Hampshire Gathering of the Scottish Clans (NHSCOT) hosts the New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival. If you’re searching for your Scottish roots or just want to experience the Fall colors. Head down to the New Hampshire Highland Games at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH.

The Highland Games celebrate the culture and customs of the Scottish and Gaelic people through heavy athleticism, dance, and music.

You’ll also be able to experience the fantastic Fall colors!

The Highland Games will take place September 16-18th.

Heavy athleticism is a popular game where physical strength is a top skill for athletes. You’ll also find events like the caber toss, hammer throw, stone carry, and much more. There are over 65 clans participating in this year's festival. You’ll be able to meet with families and see the clan tartans. A tartan is as distinguishable as a clan name. Enjoy whisky tasting, beer tasting, mixology of scotch, and a tartan dinner right here at the Mountain Club on Loon!

Along with the fantastic games, visitor’s head to the Mountain Club on Loon in Fall to experience the changing of landscape colors. The leaves transform from a glorious green to vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow.

To experience the fall colors, either hike or drive Loon Mountain. This is a great time to explore the mountains when the leaves start to fall. It offers a wonderful photographic backdrop to any picture perfect moment, you’ll have.
