Jeffrey O. McIver is President and General Manager of The Mountain Club on Loon.
Previously, he served as President & General Manager of BALSAMS, Inc., a 15,000-acre “American Plan Destination Resort” located in Dixville Notch, NH, which included 27 holes of golf, six (6) tennis courts, and skiing (Alpine and Nordic). In addition, he has served as Vice President of East Coast Resort Management, operating four (4) Golf & Ski Resorts Properties in Central, NH; General Manager of Mountain Lodge Development, Pollard Brook Resort, Lincoln, NH; Director of Food, Beverage and Summer Operations of Loon Mountain Recreation Corp., Lincoln, NH; General Manager of the Marriott Vacation Club International, Lincoln, NH; Vice President Resort Operations, Silverleaf Resorts, Dallas, TX. He holds a BS in Accounting, awarded by Thomas Business College, Waterville, Maine.
Michael Simons - Revenue Manager
A 20-year veteran of the New England hospitality industry, Simons has served in various hotel management positions, most recently as Guest Services Manager for the Wyndham Long Wharf Resort, Newport, RI. A well-known long-time resident of the Lincoln area, he had previously served as Resident Manager at the Mountain Club on Loon until 2008, and was Assistant Director of the Lincoln-Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, handling the organization’s Central Reservations Service, as well as serving as its President. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he holds the designation of Certified Revenue Manager, awarded by Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
Gary Armitage – Director of Business Development.
With over 30 years of marketing, sales and executive operations experience in multi-million dollar organizational revitalization efforts, Armitage comes to The Mountain Club on Loon following corporate leadership positions and training with Marriott, Harrison Conference Centers, Sheraton, ARAMARK, the University of New Hampshire and Delaware North Companies. He was most recently Vice President of Sales and New Business Development at The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel, and Director of Sales, Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations for Delaware North Parks and Resorts.
Deb Woodman - Director of the Viaggio Spa & Wellness Center
Debbie Woodman has been Director of the Viaggio Spa & Wellness Center since 1989. She holds a BS in Recreation Administration, Health Education and Coaching awarded by Plymouth State College. Her previous experience includes: Racquet Sports Director, Racquet Club of Concord, NH; Leisure Programming Assistant Cold Spring Resort Ashland, NH; and Assistant Manager, Don’s Fitness Center Concord, NH. In addition she is a Soccer and Basketball Coach for the Linwood Recreation Departments and Linwood Public School.
Phil Decato - Facilities Manager
Phil Decato is the Facilities Manager. A 25-year veteran of the construction industry in Northern New Hampshire, Phil came to the resort as the Job Supervisor for Cobb Hill Construction of Concord, NH, during the Mountain Club’s most recent refurbishment, and was responsible for overseeing that $4 Million renovation. He received his formal construction education as part of the Associated Builders & Contractors’ Supervisory School. Prior to beginning his construction contracting career, he was the co-owner of Northstar Glass Company of Plymouth, NH, for 15 years.
Lisa M. Tetreault of Groveton - Director of Group Sales
With over 30 years of business management experience in the North Country, Tetreault comes to the Mountain Club from her previous position as Corporate Sales Manager at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa, as well as serving as its Director of Sales and Marketing.
Krista Oberholtzer - Senior Event Planner & Wedding Specialist
Chef James Greene - Executive Chef
Chef Greene serves as Executive Chef at The Mountain Club, beginning his formal culinary education with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation at its world-famous Williamsburg Inn, in Williamsburg, VA, and began managing his first kitchen in 2002. He has previously held management positions as Sous Chef, Banquet Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Executive Steward, and Head of Purchasing for the Mount Washington Resort, Bretton Woods, NH. During his time at the Mount Washington, his team was responsible for three restaurant re-conceptualizations, yielding the resort a steady profit growth during his stint in corporate management. He then took a break from management and renewed his passion for food preparation, focusing his culinary expertise into the “Farm-to-Table” initiative found at many of the region’s finest restaurants. By partnering with local farms to source only the freshest foods for diners at the Mountain Club, Chef Greene continues to maintain the highest environmental stewardship and community fiscal network that the resort has enjoyed for the past four years. An avid cookbook enthusiast, with his own extensive library, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Amy, and his rescued pit bull Roxie.
Denise Skidgel - Executive Housekeeper
Denise Skidgel serves as Executive Housekeeper at The Mountain Club, and has previously held the position of Executive Housekeeper at the Balsams Grand Resort, Dixville, NH. Most recently, she was Executive Housekeeper at Jay Peak Resort, Jay, VT; managing daily housekeeping operations for the Tram Haus Lodge, Hotel Jay, Stateside Hotel, Golf and Mountain Cottages, Timberline Cottages and the privately-owned rental condos. Denise is originally from Colebrook, NH.
Michael Merrill - Restaurant Manager
Michael Merrill serves as Restaurant Manager at The Mountain Club, having served previously at the Mountain Club as Beverage Manager since 2013. His hospitality career includes fulltime and seasonal positions for seventeen years at the Balsams Grand Resort, Dixville Notch, NH, as Bartender and Beverage Supervisor. He previously served as Beverage Manager at the Omni Mount Washington Resort Hotel for nine years, where he worked for several years with the Mountain Club’s Chef Greene. Additional North Country resorts at which he has served include the Mountainview Grand Hotel, Whitefield, NH, as Beverage Manager. Michael achieved the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence at all three of these resort hotels.
